Location: Dubai/Baku – remote Job Full-time/Contract

As the CTO, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction of the company, leading the development of our trading platforms, and ensuring that our technology infrastructure remains at the forefront of the algorithmic trading industry. You will work closely with executive leadership, product teams, and developers to oversee the entire technology stack, from architecture to implementation, while ensuring that our systems are secure, scalable, and optimized for high-frequency trading.

Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Vision: Define and implement the company’s technology roadmap, aligning it with business goals and market trends in algorithmic trading.
Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering and technology teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Software Development & Architecture: Oversee the development of algorithmic trading platforms, ensuring the use of best practices in software engineering, architecture, and design.
High-Performance Computing: Ensure the platform’s ability to process large volumes of transactions with minimal latency, focusing on low-latency execution, real-time data processing, and scalability.
Security & Compliance: Ensure the highest levels of security and regulatory compliance in software development, particularly within financial services.
Innovation & R&D: Drive innovation by researching and integrating the latest technologies, including AI/ML models, predictive analytics, and blockchain, to enhance trading performance and efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with product, data science, and business teams to develop new features, improve existing algorithms, and respond to market changes.
Vendor & Partner Relationships: Manage relationships with technology vendors and partners, negotiating contracts and ensuring delivery of high-quality services and products.
Budget Management: Oversee the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and driving cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

Experience: 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with at least 5 years in algorithmic trading or high-frequency trading (HFT) environments.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of trading systems, financial markets, and algorithmic strategies. Proficient in programming languages commonly used in finance (e.g., C++, Python, Java).
Architecture & Infrastructure: Expertise in designing high-performance, low-latency systems for algorithmic trading, including knowledge of cloud infrastructures, microservices, and distributed computing.
Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading and growing technology teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of financial regulations (e.g., SEC, MiFID II), and experience in building secure, compliant software systems.
Innovation-Driven: Ability to drive innovation through the integration of emerging technologies (AI, machine learning, blockchain) into trading platforms.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
